IHS has been providing out of hours services for over a decade to Local Authorities. Services include:
- An out of hours call centre to handle complaints from residents (not exclusively relating to environmental health)
- Out of hours visits (weekdays and weekends) to premises where complaints about loud amplified music, sounding alarms, bonfires etc have been received
- Out of hours vehicle or intruder alarm silencing
- Witness/investigate existing cases for statutory nuisance

Developing innovative housing solutions for homeless households in the Private Rented Sector
Inside Housing Solutions (IHS) provides
training and consultancy services to Local Authorities and third sector organisations looking to provide innovative housing solutions
in the private rented sector for households in housing need. IHS also provides out of hours environmental health services and a call
centre for Local Authorities and third sector organisations operating outside of normal working hours.
Over the last five years, through recruitment of specialist staff experienced in working with private sector landlords, the company has branched out into providing consultancy services to organisations wishing to provide innovative housing solutions for homeless households via the private rented sector (PRS).
In 2010 our expertise in this area was recognised and we worked in partnership with Crisis and supported by DCLG to develop a national training programme around PRS Access Schemes.
